OWL’S NEST

In about 5-15 minutes, you can quickly gather points to get a “Welcome Gift” with a small whiteboard, then a Tumbler, Mug, or Blanket. Sign into the Owl’s Nest at: https://owlsnest.wgu.edu/forum/

Then, complete the challenges. Once you are done, the Three Welcome Gifts will unlock; oddly, they show you the gifts before you can get the Welcome Gifts.  

From the Welcome Email

• Activities: These represent different tasks you can participate in. Each activity has an assigned point value, and when you complete it, you will earn those points!

• Forums: This is how you will communicate with your fellow Night Owls! You can post questions, have fun topics to get to know each other, and more.

• Referrals: When you want to refer a friend to WGU, you now have two options—fill in your friend’s information for them or send them your unique share link. Here is the new point system for Refer-a-Friend:

  • Submit your referral’s information in the form (*To qualify as a valid referral for Owl’s Nest points, the referred individual cannot have already completed a WGU application. The only exception is if your referral has started an application/applied to WGU within the past 30 days.)

  • Once they start the application process, you will earn 100 Points!

  • Once they officially complete their application, you will receive an additional 400 Points!

  • That's 500 points in total!
    

• Award Levels: The more you participate in the Owl’s Nest, the more rewards you’ll earn! In each of the levels you will have the opportunity to unlock new and exciting rewards including exclusive WGU swag and WGU experiences.

• Points: You now can earn points for participating in all things WGU! Collect points for completing activities and redeem them for WGU swag!
